Daria Nia, an abstract artist mostly working in abstract expressionism. Her work is inspired by the duality of the world and the contradictions of human nature: love and hate, light and darkness, harmony and chaos all come to life on the canvas through bold lines, smooth strokes, and contrasting colors. Born in Kazakhstan to a Russian family, she has lived in the Czech Republic for the past 10 years. This blend of cultures is reflected in both her worldview and her creative process.
As a child, during an art class, she accidentally started painting with her hands instead of brushes. This moment marked the beginning of her journey into the world of abstraction. It became her way of expressing emotions that words could not capture. A self-taught artist, she explores the world of contradictions, acting as a mediator between the intangible realm of ideas and their physical manifestation in form.
Today, Daria Nia continues to evolve her art, creating new works and preparing for upcoming exhibitions. Through her paintings, she seeks to awaken emotions and memories, evoking a response in viewer’s soul.
