JB Thiele est né en France et basé à Paris. Il a collaboré avec de nombreuses marques à travers le prisme de la mode, la publicité et le portrait de personnalités. (Cartier, Mont Blanc, L’Oreal, Sephora, L’Officiel….). Ces travaux lui ont permis, en parallèle, de developper des projets personnels comme "CIWARA" qui sublime la culture du métissage en proposant une relecture du masque africain.Une création originale, qui nous transporte instantanément dans un univers inédit qui ne connait pas de repère spatio-temporelle. Sur des clichés aux grands formats, se dressent des corps saillants à la peau élégamment éclairés sous un filtre en noir et blanc. Des silhouettes de femmes qui, par leurs postures malléables et souples, emplissent le cadre et nous apparaissent presque monumentales, parfois même envahissantes. Sur ces parcelles de chair nue, seuls deux éléments détonnent de ces photographies à l’apparence si douce : des tatouages ensorcelants, tantôt faits de formes, tantôt de mots, et des masques africains apposés sur la tête des modèles. Véritable concentré de nuances noires et de montagnes de reliefs, ces deux artéfacts aux airs hypnotiques nous interpellent.
