I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1982, and still live in this beautiful ancient city. I have always loved to draw and paint, but never attended any art schools as a child. Instead, I studied music (and I still love to play the piano and sing). After finishing my secondary school, I entered the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and received a degree in Technical Translation. A had a long and successful career in translation industry, but the dream to do art never left me until I started fulfilling it in 2018, when I took my first watercolor lessons. From the very beginning, I had a vision to create my own books with my illustrations.
Now I am a full-time artist, illustrator and writer. I have two children's books of my own published in Ukraine, and one of them is going to be published in Germany this Christmas season. Also, I have illustrated the book of small fairytales by Astrid Lindgren, and I'm very proud of this collaboration!
I'm a devoted Christian, and in my work I love to share my faith in a fun and metaphoric way. I am married, have two teenage children and a cat, who gives me lots of inspiration and comfort.
