Nato a Ferrara nel 1959, ma cresciuto in Trentino, avverte precocemente un'attrazione per l'arte ed in particolare per la lavorazione artistica del legno, nel solco della tradizione della sua provincia. Rilevante per la sua maturazione artistica, la trentennale attività di bonsaista, che attraverso lo studio delle proporzioni, dell'armonia, dell'equilibrio e dell'asimmetricità', gli ha permesso di affinare in maniera rilevante i gusti estetici e di mantenere vivo il contatto con l'elemento legno. Quest'ultimo, lasciato al naturale o colorato, è stato impiegato per creare opere tridimensionali di esecuzione diversificata. Il fascino pregresso per le opere di Kandinsky, Mirò, Pollock, Mondrian, Arnoldi e altri ha fatto sì che la sua vena creativa trovasse sempre nell’astrattismo la sua migliore espressione, in particolare attraverso la ricerca dell'equilibrio cromatico e dell'armonia delle forme, congiunti ad un uso di colori vivaci e alla predilezione per colori caldi (in primis i toni del rosso e del giallo). La sua ricerca personale lo ha portato a studiare e sperimentare diverse tecniche pittoriche, trovando in quelle che danno luogo ad opere di tipo materico o puramente geometrico, le sue preferite.
