Née en 1978 à Nantes, Julia Saludo suit de 1998 à 2003 des études de communication visuelle à l’école de Design Créapole à Paris, apprenant dans son ensemble les règles typographiques et la sémiologie de l’image. C’est lors d’un voyage à Sydney en Australie, en 2003, qu’elle vit son premier coup de foudre photographique en immortalisant les arbres du Royal Botanic Garden. Depuis 2003, en parallèle à son activité de graphiste, photographe et des postes dans divers secteurs professionnels, elle développe un travail artistique par le biais du photomontage. « La photographie est pour moi, le moyen le plus fidèle de capter le réel, pour mieux pouvoir le transformer par le biais du photomontage», confit-elle. Entre 2010 et 2014, cinq ouvrages voient le jour avec la maison d’édition Ynox Paris. De 2014 à 2016, deux livres sont publiés avec la maison d'édition Jean-Fabien G. Phinera. En 2019, un recueil mêlant photographies et poémes est édité chez Corridor Éléphant.
