It seems to me that my purpose is to see and describe in the world around me what is good, beautiful, fragile and fleeting. It is important to me to dive into the depths of my feelings, memories, dreams, adding a little metaphor and imagination along the way.
When creating a new painting, I want there to be a fascinating visual pleasure when you first get acquainted with it. And after that, the associations, comparisons and meanings can emerge. I look for the connecting threads between reality and fiction, past and present, the momentary and the eternal.
To create a painting, I have to observe a lot of events, phenomena, people and objects of everyday life. Therefore etudes, or sketches from life, are another important part of my work. They allow me to immerse myself in the beauty of the real world and get pure pleasure from the process of painting itself. Flowers occupy a special place in this part of my work. I always paint them from life, in the open air or in the studio.
I perceive the world around me as the basis of harmony within myself.
