Lenta Markevich, born in 1983, is a visual artist currently residing and working in Prague, Czechia. Raised in Central Asia, she moved to Czechia nearly two decades ago. After graduating from Charles University in Prague with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Lenta dedicated herself to her artistic practice.
Initially working in classical art forms, she later discovered abstraction—a visual language that fully satisfies her need for self-expression. Through abstraction, she explores complex emotions and states, allowing color and form to communicate beyond words.
Lenta finds inspiring freedom in creating something beautiful out of nothing, constantly exploring and experimenting with colors and different artistic tools. She incorporates many different styles, media, and techniques such as acrylics, oils, ink, sand, and sewing.
For Lenta, art represents the acceptance of the freedom of emotional diversity. It provides a platform to express individual perceptions of the world, shaped by countless perspectives and conventions. Through art, one can express unique and personal narratives, capturing the essence of their innermost thoughts and feelings.
Her works are held in private collections across multiple countries, including Czechia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, China, Japan, and the USA.
