Prof. Emy Ferjanc wurde am 9. Oktober 1917 in Wien geboren und verstarb am 28. August 2010 in Wien. Sie war eine österreichische Künstlerin, Malerin, Grafikerin und Keramikerin. Ihre letzte Ruhestätte befindet sich auf dem Wiener Zentralfriedhof.
Emy´s Leben war der Kunst gewidmet. Sie war mit Ferdinand Ebner verheiratet. Das gesamte künstlerische Erbe erging an ihren Neffen, Mag. art. Martin Schantl, Wien.
Ihre Kunst ist von Liebe, Leben, Leidenschaft geprägt. Emy Ferjanc wurde im 1. Weltkrieg geboren und erlebte den 2. Weltkrieg mit. Dies stärkte Ihre freiheitsliebende Natur als Mensch und Künstlerin.
Sie wollte sich sowohl im Leben als auch in der Kunst nicht einschränken lassen.
In Ihren Werken vereinte Sie meisterhaft verschiedene Kunststile. Vielseitigkeit kennzeichnete Ihr Leben und Ihre Kunst.
In ihrem Nachlass finden sich Handzeichnungen, Aquarelle, Collagen, Öl- und Acrylbilder, Linolschnitt und Kupferstich, Keramiken und Wandgestaltungen aus verschiedenen Materialien.
Sie gestaltete unter anderem Bucheinbände und Illustrationen für verschiedene Verlage wie Desch, Donauland, Herder und Wancura.
Ihr Künstlerischer Nachlass wird noch aufgearbeitet.
