C’est un principe de vie, je récupère ce qui est trop souvent jeté ou mis au rebut :
Dans mes sculptes j'utilise des plaques métalliques récupérées dans des lieux de rebut .Ainsi je fais revivre toutes sortes de métaux qui vont me permettre de donner vie à des personnages humanoides.
Je me contente pas de ce premier travail tel qu'un personnage qui rêverait de son double, chacune de mes oeuvres comprend deux parties indissociables: à l'arrière se trouve la face bois vernis .La face avant est colorée (peinture, pigments, tissu. . .)Elle a aussi une forme humaine .Parfois les détails sont sophistiqués.
Je découpe, je taille à même le métal, je le tords, je le superpose, je le souligne avec de la couleur pour lui donner la forme d’un visage ou d’un corps ; j’assemble ma création sur du bois avec du grillage, du fil de cuivre que je travaille lui aussi ; j’y ajoute parfois du plastique ;
Ce que j’aime particulièrement dans la sculpture c’est le travail de la matière, le plaisir sensuel d’utiliser mes mains pour concevoir une œuvre :
Chaque pièce entreprise est évolutive. Je peux reprendre une œuvre 2 ou 3 ans plus tard
Je suis un autodidacte, plutôt un artiste singulier, un OUTSIDER
