Alain POLYDOR, né au cœur de la saison du renouveau, a été initié très tôt à la danse vibrante de la vie. Ses premières années ont été le prélude d'une existence en perpétuelle mutation, guidée par les pas nomades de son père. Voyageur dès son plus jeune âge, chaque escale, chaque rencontre, a tissé les fils de son inspiration et tracé les courbes de sa destinée artistique.
Le chapitre pivot de son histoire s'est écrit lors d'une rencontre éblouissante. Après 35 ans à suivre les pas de son père dans un métier jalonné de changements, il a croisé le chemin de NORBERE, un maître Kanak enseignant l'art de la sculpture sur bois lors d'un séjour marquant en Nouvelle-Calédonie. Cette rencontre a scellé son destin, l'amenant à reconsidérer toute sa trajectoire. Abandonnant son poste, il a entamé un voyage artistique en se formant auprès de Jean-Joseph Dixneuf, maître sculpteur dont il est redevable pour la totalité de son art.
Après avoir gravé les enseignements de son mentor, Alain a tracé une nouvelle route en décrochant son CAP de sculpture sur bois ornemaniste, amorçant ainsi son passage à l'entreprenariat.
En revisitant les lignes de sa vie, Alain a saisi l'essence de sa destinée : la sculpture comme impérieuse nécessité, une libération par la création. Chaque œuvre achevée est déjà un récit du passé, tandis que l'artiste se tourne vers l'œuvre actuelle, celle qui palpite en lui à chaque instant. Ses sculptures révèlent des histoires puissantes, imprégnées de spiritualité.
