Nach der Oberschule Ausbildung zum Werkzeugmacher mit der Spezialisierung auf Schnitt und Umformwerkzeuge. Parallel wurde die Malerei weiter verfolgt. Unter anderem im Zeichenzirkel des Betriebes. Nach dem Wehrdienst und Wendezeit erfolgte in den 90er Jahren die berufliche Umorientierung in den kaufmännischen Bereich in Berlin. Übernahme von Leitungstätigkeiten in Berlin und Leipzig. Weiterbildung zum Fachwirt und Rückkehr nach Berlin. Dabei stets begleitet durch die Liebe zur bildenden Kunst. In der Jugend stand das Zeichnen mit Bleistiften, Kohle und Kreiden im Vordergrund. Seit 2000 Entdeckung der Malerei und intensiviere Beschäftigung mit Ölfarben. Themenschwerpunkte sind dabei Landschaften sowie figürliche Darstellungen.
