Marian Czura wurde in Polen geboren und erlangte dort das Abitur.
Er studierte anschließend, Philosophie und Theologie in Neiße, Oppeln und Psychologie in Warschau. Nach der Übersiedlung nach Deutschland folgte ein Studium in Mainz und anschließend das Studium der Malerei an der Städelschule - Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main sowie ein Studienaufenthalt in Amsterdam.
Seine Bilder wurden ausgestellt in Mainz, Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Damstadt und Danzig.
Jahrzente lang war er als Filmemacher tätig: als Kameramann, Regisseur und Drebuchautor und Produzent. Hier einige Beispiele seiner Dokumentar- und Spielfilme: „Krautsand" (in Zusammenarbeit mit der WAF /Westallgäuer Filmproduktion) "Land der Räuber und Gendarmen", "Daheim sterben die Leut’“, "Schön war die Zeit", „Leni" und „Beutekameraden" sowie die beiden Dokumentarfilme "Er tanzte das Leben" und "Klang der Seele".
Er war Dozent an der Deutschen Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, an der Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, Gastdozent in Offenbach am Main, sowie Artdirector der IFMA München.
Viele prägende Reisen führten ihn nach Australien, Papua Neuguinea, Tansania, USA, Spanien/ Katalonien, Ukraine.
