Ana Paula Graça Franco de Almeida was born on April 13, 1959 in Sintra, Portugal, graduating in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of the Algarve. The following year, she achieved the Graduate Diploma in Visual and Performing Arts in the same institution. In an early age she showed a great aptitude in drawing, leading her to explore areas such as canvas painting, digital painting, sculpture, crafts, photography, video and design. Held many exhibitions of canvas painting, seeking to address different themes and concepts.
Great part of her work is related with the Contemporary Art, linking up in geometric abstraction. However, one can still find illustrative works in the Pop Art domain. More recently, she has combined architectural abstraction with reality.
