关于作者
Nikki Wheeler is a British landscape painter working in oils and acrylics. Living on the Kent coast with a direct view of the sea from her home, she is able to observe the constant changing light which is a major source of inspiration. She walks everyday by the sea and in the surrounding countryside, making sketches and taking photos along the way. Back in the studio sometimes using a sketch or photo as a starting point, sometimes using no reference material she builds up the painting in layers. Nikki is not looking to produce a realistic image but rather to convey the emotions and feelings of the moment. Inspired by both the land, the sea, nature and the seasons, she is fascinated by the light and its effects on the landscape.
Nikki has been represented by several galleries and exhibited both in the UK and abroad . Her designs and paintings have been licenced and sold internationally as prints greetings cards, wrapping paper, stationary and mugs.
