Créer et innover a toujours été un concept dans le cadre de vie de l'artiste. Celle-ci aime peindre sur divers petits objets ou petits meubles. Après avoir travaillé avec la peinture acrylique, (sa préférence va au support papier et le bois), Marie découvre en même temps la peinture à la craie.
L'espace, l'Asie, ses paysages, la nature, l’histoire de la Corée, les Danchong, peintures que l’on trouve dans les palais, temples et grandes maisons l’ont inspiré, tant par leurs couleurs, leurs thèmes, que par leurs textures. Ces peintures célèbres datant de l’époque Joseon et bien avant, (équivalent du Moyen âge pour nous) ont résisté au passage du temps.
Marie a donc testé ce type de peinture sur divers supports, des toiles, du papier à grain de 120, 180 ou 300 g, du bois... Elle apprécie plus particulièrement le rendu et la texture finale une fois vernis. (Brillant ou Mat)
Possédant de nombreux domaines de prédilections : Un peu d’abstrait, Espace, Nature, Asie et plus particulièrement la Corée, elle lui parait naturel de les exploiter dans ses créations actuelles et futurs. Cela représente bon nombre de recherches, d'innovations et d'inspirations infinies. Ce qui lui correspond et lui convient tout à fait.
Une peinture, c'est un voyage. Un voyage à travers le monde, un voyage vers le passé, le présent et le futur...
