J’ai commencé très tardivement ma carrière d’artiste. C’est à la retraite que j’ai découvert dans l’atelier d’Hélène Brémond à Evry-Courcouronnes la technique de linogravure. Très rapidement j’acquière les moyens de pratiquer cet art. La linogravure débute par la gravure d’une plaque de linoleum à l’aide de gouges. La matrice est ensuite encrée. On applique une feuille de papier que l’on presse fortement. On obtient une gravure.
Ancien dessinateur industriel, les moyens techniques de gravures et d’impression m’intéresse grandement. J’aime le côté artisanal du travail manuel de gravure et la part technique de l’impression. Un autre aspect de la technique permet de pallier mes piètres qualités de peintres. Je pars d’une photographie. Cette photo est manipulée par un logiciel de traitement d’image pour obtenir une épure qui sera décalqué sur la plaque.
De manière conventionnelle on fabrique des linogravures en imprimant des feuilles de papiers. J’ai développé des moyens et une technique d’impression pour graver des disques.
