Après avoir fréquenté des ateliers de peinture et de dessin à Paris au début des années 1990, je me suis installé en Bourgogne où j'ai mon atelier. Inspiré par la peinture de Jackson Pollock, de Zao Wou-Ki et des impressionnistes, j’ai exposé sous mon nom d’artiste, Belas. J'ai participé à de nombreuses manifestations, tant personnelles que collectives, à Paris, en région ou à l’étranger. Mes tableaux à l’huile sur toile de lin pour la plupart, sont réalisés au couteau ou au pinceau. Partant d’une inspiration concrète, entre abstraction et figuration, ils laissent au spectateur la liberté de l’interprétation. Ils veulent transmettre une émotion par-delà les couleurs. Paul Gauguin disait « Il y a en somme plus à chercher la suggestion que la description » : cette formule serait bien la définition de mon travail.
