关于作者
Beeldend kunstenaar sinds 1978.
Bram de Winter (1955) has trained himself in the visual arts, specialising; Surrealist paintings. He does not allow himself to be inhibited by existing conventions and is always looking for the edges of what is possible. The result is always unique work. You can see this, for example, in the mixed-media technique that he applies to his paintings, which are traditionally executed in oil on canvas. But after 2000, most of them have incorporated small additions of another material into the composition.... even holes in the canvas. He also executes his stained-glass pieces in three-dimensional fashion, often containing 'foreign objects', if possible. His latest experiment fits in perfectly with this time where we want to use materials as sparingly as possible; in the cavity of rejected double-glazed windows, a kind of mosaic is created of remnants of colourless patterned glass and coloured cathedral glass under the titles; Kaleidoscope 1, 2, 3 etc.
In the years 2011 to '15, a series of works of art were even created with asphalt as an addition.
