关于作者
Joanna Błoniarz (b. 1973) studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She runs the Dok Art Gallery by the Polish sea. Her second home is the Netherlands. All these places are reflected in the artist's works - from metropolises and industrial landscapes to spaces created by nature, mainly the sea. Subsequent stages of her artistic explorations are associated with the human presence in the environment, seeking analogies between art and everyday life.
My work is multidisciplinary. I approach each project as if it were the first. I do not have a planned or permanent medium that I use, nor a predetermined final effect. I explore whether the image, as a phenomenon in itself, fits within the designated frames or is merely a snapshot or fragment. In search of what is conventional and universal, I slowly interpret personal visions of time and space. In every process, it is the image or other subject that guides me.
While working, I dynamically respond to ever-evolving thoughts. The unfinished image sometimes completes itself over time.
Besides Visual Arts, I am involved in interior scenography. I carry out visual metamorphoses of existing objects and extract their personality consistent with their history, context, and purpose.
