Ici, un jeune homme, posé sur un monolithe d'aspect minéral et démesurément long, dans un espace lui même vertical et resserré dans sa largeur, semble s'interroger sur l'action à...

Ici, un jeune homme, posé sur un monolithe d'aspect minéral et démesurément long, dans un espace lui même vertical et resserré dans sa largeur, semble s'interroger sur l'action à mener. Le choix est restreint, l'envol, la chute dans le vide, ou l'attente sur cette île exigüe. La lumière crue contrastant avec un fond d'encre donne un aspect sculptural au personnage, comme figé dans la pierre.
L'idée est celle d'une attente face au choix impossible, une manière d'évoquer la peur de l'inconnu dans un univers qui renvoie au rêve ou au cauchemar.

Wilfrid Moizan vient d'une famille d'artistes. Après avoir passé son enfance dans les Côtes d'Armor, il entre aux beaux-arts de Rennes où il passe son Dnap, puis obtient une licence d'arts plastiques à la faculté...
Wilfrid Moizan vient d'une famille d'artistes. Après avoir passé son enfance dans les Côtes d'Armor, il entre aux beaux-arts de Rennes où il passe son Dnap, puis obtient une licence d'arts plastiques à la faculté de Villejean. En 1996, il obtient son Capes d'arts et devient Professeur. Il déménage en Guadeloupe en 2001, puis s'installe à Saint-Martin en 2006.
De cette enfance sur les rivages bretons, il garde un goût pour les brumes et cette pluie fine qui vient brouiller le réel. Cette idée de voile se retrouve dans sa pratique faite de couches successives, de superpositions qui jouent sur la disparition et l'apparition.
De sa vie aux Antilles, il retient la couleur et un rapport particulier à la lumière. Les personnages qu'il met en scène sont le plus souvent seuls dans des espaces qui évoquent l'île, le refuge intérieur.
Mélangeant souvenirs de voyages, photos de famille, paysages hivernaux, forêts luxuriantes, il opère un métissage des espaces à la frontière du rêve. Ce qui est en jeu, c'est la fragilité de l'existence.
