First with colored pencil, later I discovered ink, watercolor, collage... mixed media. However, I learned some drawing and painting techniques from my father Desiré Vermeulen (1935-2022) who was a popular heimat painter in my village Werchter (Flemish Brabant), where I have lived since I was born.
