Claudia Velasco was born in Bolivia and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 15. She attended Colorado State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Interior Design. Her design studies help her to integrate both her drawing and perspective skills into the paintings. Self-taught, she has always been interested in art. Her paintings include both acrylic and oil. She portrays different subject matter; still-life, figurative, perspective and landscape. Her paintings are inspired and based on typical charming places from her native country, capturing the essence and the beauty of its people and culture.
