STATEMENT:

At the heart of my work lies a fascination with the human psyche—the complex web of thoughts, emotions, and subconscious forces that shape our inner worlds. I am driven by a desire to understand the depths of inner transformation, recognizing that our journey begins from a state of potentiality, much like the earliest form of existence: the stone. In ancient beliefs, our souls once existed as inert, motionless entities, holding within them the seed of consciousness and growth. My art reflects this profound evolution, portraying a metamorphosis from lifeless matter to vibrant, conscious beings—symbolizing the collective journey of the soul across cycles of existence.

My paintings act as a contemplative dialogue, inviting viewers to reflect on the existential idea that, at one point, we were akin to stones—silent, unassuming, yet containing the potential for awareness and transformation. Using surrealistic humanoid stones within minimalist compositions, I evoke harmony and balance, inspired by Eastern philosophies and Human Psychology. The serene equilibrium of stones resting in Zen-like stillness mirrors the conscious journey of the soul navigating through its experiences, emphasizing inner peace and self-discovery.

Rooted in Dao principles, Zen, Wabi-Sabi and Eastern Philosophy my art celebrates the interconnectedness of spiritual narratives, encouraging individuals to explore their unique paths while recognizing the shared history that unites us all. Each piece is an invitation to honor the transformative power of existence and to embrace the mystery and beauty within ourselves and the universe. Ultimately, my work is a celebration of the soul’s vibrant journey—a visual meditation on growth, harmony, and the infinite potential residing within every being as we navigate this extraordinary cosmic experience.
