Ulrika Leander is a contemporary Swedish artist based in the United States. Born and raised in Sweden, Ulrika was immersed in the rich tradition of handwoven tapestry from an early age, sparking a lifelong passion for the art form. Her artistic journey began with formal training in Stockholm, culminating in the attainment of a Master's degree in fiber art and design from the HV’s College of Art and Design.

She draws inspiration from the emotional tapestry of her own life and the intricate forces, shapes, and colors found in the natural world. Her exploration of ideas takes shape through the medium of watercolor, with a keen awareness of the intricate transition required from the watercolor design to the expansive canvas of tapestry.
