My 'Tidal Beauty' is inspired by the idea of the volatility of the world and the concept that what we see is not always what it is. The flowers and leaves depicted in the piece are reminiscent of the underwater world, suggesting the idea that there is more to the world than meets the eye.

I was inspired to create this piece by my interest in exploring the hidden depths and complexities of the natural world. I hope that viewers will be struck by the beauty of the piece and be inspired to think more deeply about the true nature of the world around them.

I chose to use dry pastels as my medium because they allow me to create a sense of movement and fluidity in the piece, which is fitting given the theme of the work. The subject matter of the flowers and leaves is meant to evoke feelings of wonder and curiosity, as well as a sense of the unknown.

Overall, I hope that this work will inspire viewers to consider the deeper mysteries and complexities of the world and to see beyond the surface of things.
