Tatjana Auschew is a German artist of Russian descent. She was born in Kazakhstan in 1966. She demonstrated a talent for drawing from an early age. At the age of 16, she graduated from a children's art school in Karaganda. In 1985, she began studying at the Faculty of Art and Graphics at Qaraghandy State University, Kazakhstan's second-largest university. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1990. During and after her studies, she worked with children, among other things, as an art educator.
For a long time, she was particularly fascinated by the paintings of Egon Schiele, the great representative of Expressionism. To this day, she finds in Expressionism what is typical of her paintings: striking forms, reduction to the essential, and the expression of subjective emotions with a very unique aesthetic.
Fashion and design have always occupied a special place in her creative work. In 2000, she opened her own fashion studio in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and created exclusive designer clothing for women. During this phase, her painting career intensified. Her experience with fashion and design had a strong influence on the nature and composition of her pictures, which often depict women.
In addition to experimenting with different techniques, she discovered a passion for painting with black ink and calligraphy brushes. She has participated in various regional exhibitions in Kazakhstan with numerous works. To this day, her graphics adorn several doctor's offices and small, cozy cafés in Astana and Karaganda, Kazakhstan.
In 2016, Tatyana Auschew and her family moved to Germany. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to the visual arts. In her work, she improvises, changes things, and creates almost naive characters on canvas and paper. When drawing, she always follows her intuition. By combining a wide variety of colors, she seeks balance in her work with the emotions she experiences during her creative process. For her, painting is another form of thinking and viewing the world. Tatyana Auschew's paintings can be found in an art gallery in Seoul and in private collections around the world.
Her art is recognizable by the expressiveness of her colors and the flow of semi-abstract figures. Using artistic language, she depicts various facets of the feminine, as well as the diversity and beauty of its manifestations.
