J’étais séduite par l’idée de gagner quinze ans de vie en apparence une fois baignée dans la mer Morte. J’ai même enlevé mes bijoux pour qu’ils ne s’abîment pas, j’ai dû utiliser du savon pour arriver à enlever la bague de ma grand-mère. Le lendemain matin, j’ai découvert qu’elle n’était plus là. Car en montant dans bus de retour, je n’ai pas réussi [...]
J’étais séduite par l’idée de gagner quinze ans de vie en apparence une fois baignée dans la mer Morte. J’ai même enlevé mes bijoux pour qu’ils ne s’abîment pas, j’ai dû utiliser du savon pour arriver à enlever la bague de ma grand-mère. Le lendemain matin, j’ai découvert qu’elle n’était plus là. Car en montant dans bus de retour, je n’ai pas réussi à la remettre et je l’ai mise à l’auriculaire, d’où elle a glissé. Une partie de mon histoire est partie avec. J’ai gagné 15 ans d’âge par la peine causée.

Née en Israël en 1972, Tami Notsani a quitté son pays en 2000 pour venir vivre en France.
Après des études scientifiques, elle se tourne vers la photographie à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Jérusalem, Bezalel, puis suit un troisième cycle au Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains.
À travers une pratique qui se déploie entre la photographie, la vidéo et plus récemment
l’installation et les performances participatives, elle développe une réflexion autour de l’identité, l’intime, la mémoire, la transformation et la transmission.

Les œuvres de Tami Notsani ont été présentées en France et à l’étranger dans de nombreuses institutions et manifestations d’art contemporain
parmi lesquelles : le Mois Européen de la photographie, MNHA, Luxembourg, «Au bazar
du genre», MUCEM, Marseille, Mamco, Genève, Nuit Blanche, Paris, Emily Harvey Gallery, New York, Musée d’art d’Ashdod, Israël ainsi qu’aux Rencontres Photographiques d’Arles.
Son travail figure dans plusieurs collections et institutions telles que le CNAP à Paris, le MAMCS à Strasbourg, la collection départementale de Seine-Saint-Denis, Mamco à Genève, le musée d’art d’Ashdod et la banque Discount en Israël, ainsi que dans diverses collections privées en France, Israël, États-Unis, Hongrie, Suisse et Italie.
