Romeo Koitmäe

Romeo Koitmäe is a photographer who uses a large-format camera and drum scans his negatives. His love of art and nature can be seen in his photography's exceptional detail and more subtle textures.

Photographing the landscape is such a passion and source of enjoyment for him that he hopes we can share in his enjoyment.

Romeo Koitmäe was born in Tartu on December 26, 1971. Romeo graduated from the Estonian Maritime Education Center in 1997, where he received higher education in the field of ship power equipment, and has been employed by the shipping company Tallink since 1998. He received numerous awards, including a third-place finish in the "Nature Pictures" competition in the category "Landscapes" and two recognized works in the categories "Landscapes" and "Plants and Mushrooms" in 2009, a third-place finish in the Estonian Natural Landscape competition for the picture "Winter Landscape" in 2010 and a third-place finish in the "Nature of the Year Photo" competition in the category "Black and white nature picture"  in 2012.
