I was born in Wallasey, Cheshire. As a child and teenager, I Ioved drawing and painting. During the late 1970's, I studied Art at The Laird School of Art In Birkenhead, Wirral. I was employed as a Customs Officer in Liverpool and would always carry a sketch book and pencils with me. Lunch hours were spent watching and drawing the boats on the River Mersey.
My life was drastically changed when my spine was severely injured due to an accident. As I was unable to continue with my career as a Customs Officer, art became my saviour. I began to paint again and making art saved my life! It gave me a reason to carry on. After 13 operations on my spine and going through an emotional breakdown, it has been the joy of creating art every day that has kept me sane.
I love to use loud, bright, joyous colours. Focusing on wildlife art, Farm Yard scenes and seascapes and landscapes. it its my hope that people will feel the same joy when they look at my paintings. 🖼️
I received several awards for landscape paintings at art school.
Since my accident, I have been unable to attend galleries in order to show my work.
Being able to sell my work with Artmajeur, has made my working life much easier.
I can upload my paintings to my art gallery very easily and Artmajeur also sell prints of my work too.
