Sílvia Correia is a contemporary Portuguese painter. Her native Porto appears prominently as a topic in many of her paintings. According to the artist, Porto offers her a richness of cultural resources, and every part of the city has a unique history. It's unlike any other city in terms of the light, brightness, fog, smell, accent, and vibe.
Correia traveled extensively and used a camera to photograph diverse facades and details. The concept of transforming these photos into pictorial elements originated from these images and each of them is expressing a variety of emotions.
Sílvia Correia was born in 1976, in Portugal.
