Why did I come to sculpture??? Quite a story...
Since childhood, I've always been drawn to anything manual. Creation, passion, patience, and challenge have always brought me personal satisfaction. Little by little, the skill and dexterity of my ten fingers failed me.
To this day, my disability has progressed and no longer allows me to do what I used to do. For a long time, I searched for another way to live my passion with my now weakened hands. About eight years ago, I discovered clay sculpture, and since I've been in Muret for three years, I've been sculpting intensively in a very friendly workshop.
You could say that it's thanks to my disability that I fell into the whirlwind of this immense passion. Without this illness, I would never have questioned myself and never would have tried to retrain. I escape through sculpture, and even though my disability is very present, I sometimes forget about it. Faced with the movements I can't make, my jerky gestures, my unresponsive fingers, I strive to adapt to maintain the cohesion of the work.
I've always firmly believed that one cannot live without passion. If I work hard and invest myself fully in this adventure, it's because I know that the disease is progressing, and I want to take full advantage of my manual skills. So, long live sculpture!!!
