Rudi Nicks nasceu em Diadema-SP é um pintor e desenhista brasileiro. Iniciou sua carreira aos 17 anos como aprendiz de desenhista no escritório do ex. prefeito de São Paulo, José Carlos de Figueiredo Ferraz, um ano mais tarde recebeu seu primeiro registro profissional como desenhista técnico.
Trabalhou durante anos elaborando desenhos técnicos e detalhando projetos de construção civil, cumprindo uma agenda bastante técnica e muitas vezes pouco artística.
Até que surge a oportunidade de ilustrar o cotidiano dos canteiros de obras, esboçando o dia a dia dos trabalhadores, deslocamentos de máquinas e equipamentos, etapas de montagem das estruturas, essas ilustrações passaram á ser utilizadas nos cadernos de propostas técnicas, item bastante comum em concorrências de obras.
E foi através dessa prática rotineira de ilustrar as atividades e os profissionais em seus cotidianos diários que Rudi Nicks resolveu registrar em suas telas de forma bastante peculiar suas impressões sobre os avanços tecnológicos, as conseqüências sobre os trabalhadores, as atividades que deixaram de existir, os desafios e as mudanças nas profissões e por fim Rudi Nicks percebeu que ao abordar um tema tão nobre e vasto e que caso pudesse registrá-lo diariamente dificilmente o tema se esgotaria durante uma vida.
O emprego de cores vibrantes na maioria das telas e pinturas tem o objetivo de alegrar enquanto destacam e valorizam essa antiga atividade humana chamada trabalho e seus praticantes.
Atualmente Rudi Nicks vive na capital paulista em meio a esse universo de profissões e profissionais buscando idéias para seus próximos trabalhos, aguardem!
