Annemarieke van Peppen, geboren in Rotterdam in 1971, is een veelzijdige kunstenaar die haar artistieke ontwikkeling begon aan de Academie voor Kunst en Industrie (AKI) in Enschede, waar ze mode studeerde. Na haar tijd op de AKI reisde ze door Indonesië, Australië en Maleisië, waar ze inspiratie opdeed voor haar werk en haar eigen artistieke stijl begon te ontwikkelen.
Van Peppen's artistieke praktijk omvat een breed scala aan disciplines, waaronder collages, installaties, impact art projecten, fotografie, sculpturen en zelfs kleding. Haar werken zijn doordrenkt met een diepgaande introspectie en een onophoudelijke zoektocht naar de schoonheid van de menselijke ervaring, zelfs in de lelijkheid ervan.
Met een unieke combinatie van materialen, zoals symbolisch Japans papier, ongebleekt katoen en diverse andere media, creëert ze werken die zowel uitdagend als poëtisch zijn.
