DaBy est artiste-peintre et sculpteure. Elle peint surtout à l’acrylique, souvent en techniques mixtes, y ajoutant divers matériaux : mortier de structure, résine époxy, feuilles d’or, sable, béton, sur des supports de toile ou de bois.
Comme sculpteure, après avoir approché la sculpture par le biais de la fonderie en bronze et aluminium, elle produit maintenant une sculpture différente, conçue dans une approche éco-responsable, où elle recycle divers matériaux, souvent résidus de rénovations ou encore puisés dans la nature, et leur donne une nouvelle vie et une vocation artistique.
Ces sculptures se déclinent en quatre séries: les « Bois et nature », les « Bois sauvage », les "En couleurs" et les « Style...» et certaines d’entre elles sont offertes dans les boutiques de quelques musées au Québec.
Ce sont le plus souvent les trouvailles qu’elle fait qui l’inspirent, par leurs formes, couleurs ou textures
Cherchant simplement « l’or du temps et la beauté des choses » comme le chante le poète, c’est le bonheur de créer qui la motive.
Sa recherche continue d’être celle de l’harmonie et est axée vers l’émotion positive, la joie et la sérénité que l’art lui apporte et qui peuvent, espère-t-elle, se transmettre aussi au spectateur.
