Ich male seit meiner Jugend. Ich bin nachhaltig geprägt worden durch die Bayerischen Alpen und den Südschwarzwald, wo ich einige Jahre lebte. Später kam ich beruflich nach Düsseldorf. Es zog mich immer wieder in die Berge, später auch in schöne Küstenlandschaften. Auch in meinem Berufsleben im Rheinland malte ich. Seit meiner Pensionierung und meinem Umzug nach Eitorf an der Sieg male ich erst recht. Meine Malerei entwickelte sich aus dem Wandern und den vielfältigen Landschaftseindrücken, die ich gewann. Es entstand in mir der Wunsch, mein Naturerleben in Bildern auszudrücken. Ich habe mich autodidaktisch über Bücher und Webinare weitergebildet, ich habe Ausstellungen besucht und von anderen akademischen Künstlern in ihren Ateliers gelernt. Die Malerei ist ein andauernder Prozess, man ist nie zu Ende.
