Sculpteur autodidacte, je sculpte depuis environ 40 ans. Professeur d'éducation physique et sportive, j'ai tout de suite été intéressé par la sculpture de corps ou de parties de corps, notamment, en souffrance.
Je ne sculpte que le bois auquel j'adjoins, parfois, du métal, du minéral, surtout lorsque je veux souligner une souffrance, une douleur.
Mes sculptures n'ont pas de liens à une école quelconque. Chaque sculpture est unique, différente des autres, tant dans l'essence de bois choisie, que dans la dimension qui peut aller de 30cm à plus de 2 mètres.
J'ai appartenu à plusieurs associations d'artistes (Peinture-sculpture à Agde; Sculpture à Narbonne) et j'ai aussi exposé en tant qu'artiste individuel, notamment en Guyane.
J'ai exposé, également, dans le Cher, dans l'Aude, dans l'Hérault, dans le Gard, depuis 1990.
Mes sculptures sont symbolistes, et militantes. Elles parlent de la perception de mon être-au-monde. Je suis souvent en lien avec l'actualité mais pas seulement et je m'attaque, également, aux grands mythes qui jalonnent l'histoire de l'humanité.
Ainsi, je puis, tout aussi bien, sculpter sur le thème du génocide Rwandais, de l'aliénation de la femme, de l'immigration, de l'écologie, voire sur la Covid, que sur Dieu, la mort, la création de l'écriture ou encore la musique.
Actuellement, j'ai une salle d'exposition, chez moi, dans laquelle, j'ai une soixante-dizaine de sculptures.
