Au fil du temps, Nathalie Watine a exploré l’art de la sculpture en utilisant une variété de matériaux, passant tour à tour du tissu à l’argile, de la pierre au bois. C’est ce dernier qui est devenu l’élément central de son travail artistique. Chaque morceau de bois et ses courbes singulières deviennent le point de départ d’une nouvelle oeuvre.
Son univers artistique, vibrant de couleurs, est peuplé de personnages bienveillants épris d’une joie de vivre communicative. Ces êtres naïfs et emplis d’innocence se prêtent volontiers aux mises en scène délicates de l’artiste qui nous transporte alors dans un monde poétique.
