Awareness of environmental pollution began in early 1990, an emerging problem.

In 1992 Robert van den Herik worked, in context of a command at the Design Academy Eindhoven, for a renowned manufacturer of office furniture.He was commissioned to analyze their production processes and then moderate vision and concept work and design an environmentally friendly office chair.

A decaying back of a wooden antique chair and a lot of old wire formed the basis for this chair.
