Based in Ashland VA, he skillfully utilizes techniques found in basketry, incorporating chording sewn in concentric circles to create intricate and organic forms. Drawing inspiration from the Hyacinth Macaw, an endangered species in brazil, Harding uses repetition to emulate the organic forms within their feather pattern, Harding's creations are a fusion of tradition and contemporary expression. Thread, twine, and rope are masterfully transformed into soft sculptures that evoke a sense of reverence for the natural materials.
