NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Ordí Calder in The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. The exhibition opens December 5 and runs through December 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Artist Ordí Calder explores the subtle transformation of objects and their surroundings over time. As the sun passes overhead, shadows creep over the surface of the earth, altering our perception of reality.

In Vortice, wooden slats form a tunnel of shadows. In Layers, a patch of sunlight distorts architectural patterns. Rooting his images in time, Calder balances the inanimate with the power and grace of the natural world. As a self-taught photographer, Calder often rejects photographic norms, focusing on profound moments of beauty that often go unnoticed.
