Qual é a origem da técnica Guache

O guache (do italiano guazzo) é uma substância que usa um aglutinante (glicerina) ou um solvente gomado à base de água (goma arábica). Cobrente e opaco (ao contrário da aquarela), mistura-se facilmente e dilui-se com água (tinta têmpera). Muito utilizado pelos artistas, o termo guache designa tanto o material, que se encontra em um tubo, quanto o resultado, que se observa na tela. Os corantes são diluídos em água e tornados pastosos e opacos pela adição de goma e mel. As cores tornam-se opacas e podem, portanto, sobrepor-se, de modo que pintamos tanto a guache quanto a óleo. O guache é recomendado pelos seus tons vivos, frescos e delicados. Alguns artistas famosos destacaram-se no uso desta técnica, nomeadamente o francês Paul Gauguin.
