Vera Saiko é uma artista canadense contemporânea. O artista gosta de criar pinturas e desenhos de pessoas, paisagens e flores. A clássica escola de desenho russa é claramente visível em seus desenhos a carvão e pastel. Mas suas pinturas claramente se afastam do tradicionalismo. Ela combina tons vibrantes com o minimalismo do norte, inspirando-se no Grupo dos Sete e na majestade do Escudo Canadense. Ela mede com precisão a relação entre a cor e a forma e o tamanho do meio.
Vera Saiko leciona no renomado Sheridan College, onde se formou nos programas de Belas Artes e Design, depois de ter recebido educação formal de desenho na Rússia e na Ucrânia.
