Oberlin The Artist
Oberlin has always been an artist, developing a love for fountain pens at an early age and deciding to train both hands to draw. They had heard adults talk about a spooky thing called ‘arthritis’. The artist is now ambidextrous.
Oberlin began having seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy during their freshman year of college. Art helped tremendously.
Some of Oberlin’s paintings come from sketches. Some of the paintings are scenes and shapes that mutate from color. The commonality is expression. The sketches themselves come from dreams and conversations. Some of these ideas have ruminated for months or years. Others happened in a flash.
Any of the art that you see may have since been painted over, traded, donated, given away, eaten, burned, buried or destroyed.

The Garage
Jamestown, OH, USA
The main event! This is where the art is being transformed/molded/splattered/mutated. This is a mixture of circumstances, disease, electric bills, power tools and weather. If not for all of them, this event would not take place.
Pancakes and Booze
Seattle, WA, USA
Pancakes, booze, art, weed, syrup.
I'd do it again if given half a chance.
Winter Solstice Gala, Catapult Creative
Dayton, OH, USA
Cold! It got me out of my cave in the winter - a thumbs up from me.
Tastefully Roasted Coffee Company
Dayton, OH, USA
This is a time when I was invited to share some of my art in downtown Dayton. And, to make it better, my art was handing out alongside the other great love of my life - coffee. I thought they made a dynamic-duo. I picked some of my more illustrative, goofy paintings to hang here :)
"Cats Playing Poker"
"Love Me Tender"
"Feline to Dine"
"Manners, Dogs Drinking"
"Croc & Doc"
Middletown Arts Center
Middletown, OH, USA
This was a nice event and I was thrilled to be a part of it! Middletown Ohio has a very nice arts center and I was very happy to have my art displayed next to other enthusiastic artists. I picked some abstracts that I had made recently to display.
Glo Gala
Dayton Art Institute, Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH, USA
Here the Epilepsy Foundation of Dayton will be hosting a Gala event and holding a silent auction to raise money to combat epilepsy! I donated two of my pieces and will be going to 1) have a nice evening and 2) meet other like-minded individuals. It's bound to be a nice night!
