Pierre-Marie Fenech is a professional artist and photographer. After a professional career in video and computer graphics, he wanted to create a more personal work. Passionate about photography and painting but also about digital image processing/creation, it seemed obvious to him that his personal expression would go through an art that would combine these two practices.
The main thing in his eyes is to find a meaning, to share a questioning with the spectator, always on this relationship between the things of the World and the ways in which we represent them to ourselves. Creating a space where painting and photography come together by reflecting their specific codes is the heart of his approach. But if work on shapes and tones - the characteristic of painting and drawing - sometimes reveals the pictorial message that already inhabits the photograph that serves as a base, it should be noted that a selfie will never turn into a Mona Lisa. , and that there is a real scarcity of photographs capable of becoming photographic paintings: the mental space where our views of painting and photography cohabit is and will remain a complex phenomenon.
Pierre-Marie Fenech lives and works in Tourouvre au Perche in France. His work is present in many private collections.
