I started painting & drawing when I retired in 2013. I went to an art class once a week & fortunately met a very helpful art teacher. After he introduced me to several types of painting & drawing I decided to use acrylic paint. During my early years at school and up to the age of 20, when I abandoned art, I painted in oils. I moved to the south of France in 2015 and found a lot of inspiration with light and architecture and visiting art galleries and exhibitions of which there are many here and in Spain and Italy which is not too far from here for me to visit.
