About the series:

“Wandering in New York, Rome, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, London, and Berlin, I am drawn to specific buildings as points of confluence for my urban drifting. Curved architectural forms manifest various ideals—formal, symbolic, functional. I find myself inside places designed for worship, entertainment, material consumption, contemplation, transportation, and governance. The paintings and drawings in this series are a tactile and visual record of my intuitive reckoning with these spaces—a way of forcing them to look back at me.” - Paul Fabozzi

Paul Fabozzi is a contemporary American visual artist. His paintings and drawings provide a chance to consider how bodily experience is constantly covered with informational and mental pulsations by suspending a temporal experience within a static image. His main objective is to create images that serve as a constant reminder of our intense urge to actively create tactile, reflective, and visual connections to the physical environment.

Fabozzi‘s artworks have been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Rome, London, Busan and beyond. His work is included in numerous private and public collections, including the Weatherspoon Art Museum, San Diego Museum of Art, Neuberger Museum of Art, Frost Museum of Art, Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art and New York Public Library. He is currently Professor of Fine Arts at St. John's University in New York City.
