Olha Yevtukhova is a contemporary Ukrainian artist living in Kharkiv.
Working in traditional genres, such as landscape and figurative painting, where the format is already set, I can create expressive, narrative-free canvases that use color and energy to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. I am inspired by unusual color combinations that I apply to a female image and complement it with ornamentation, graphics, or texture.
When I create my paintings, I look for colorful images and experiment with bright colors and patterns. I like to look for interesting compositional solutions, to observe the mixing of colors on the canvas. And bright colors and unusual combinations add emotion, mood, and energy to my paintings. My paintings are the result of the transformation of impressions, feelings, and memories. A series of paintings in the gallery is dedicated to female beauty and its mystery. My works are real and imaginary at the same time. It is up to the viewer to decide how to perceive my paintings.
