Биография
Olga Ponomarenko is a contemporary painter whose practice bridges impressionism, abstraction, and expressive realism. Trained in the studios of established artists, she has developed a distinctive style that combines oil on canvas with bold impasto techniques. Working with both brush and palette knife, she builds textured surfaces where cityscapes, landscapes, and natural motifs unfold in luminous, layered hues. Her art radiates beauty and emotional depth, inviting viewers into an intimate dialogue with the world around them.
Ponomarenko's favorite style is impressionism, which she enriches with expressive abstraction. Her works often emerge from everyday observations—walks in the forest, travels, or moments in her own garden. This grounding in lived experience allows her paintings to resonate with sincerity while capturing fleeting light, atmosphere, and mood.
She is an active participant in the Russian and international art scene, regularly presenting her work at exhibitions and fairs. Recent highlights include at the Antique Center on Sadovoye (Moscow, 2025); at Manezh (Moscow, 2024); the All-Russian Painting and Graphics Competition at Ars Gallery (Moscow, 2024); at Art Box Gallery (2023–2024); and and at Artnagrada (Moscow, 2023). She also participated in the at Artona Gallery (Moscow, 2023).
Her works are held in private collections across Russia, the United States, England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada. Ponomarenko's practice reflects her belief that art is everywhere—waiting to be seen in a landscape, a street, or a garden—and her paintings transform these moments into textured, expressive canvases that celebrate light, form, and feeling.
