Pascal Giroud is een hedendaagse Franse autodidactische schilder wiens reis in de kunst begon met zijn eerste tentoonstelling in 1998 in de Galerie Jacques Royan in Lyon. Een jaar later leverden zijn afbeeldingen van Lyon en omgeving hem een uitnodiging op om te exposeren in het stadhuis van Caluire. Op 30-jarige leeftijd, na een persoonlijke tentoonstelling, sloot Giroud zich aan bij de Pierre Jean Chaffrey Painting Academy, waar hij studeerde onder de beroemde schilders André Disdier, Pascale Paradis en Norbert Vaginay. Hun gepassioneerde mentorschap verrijkte zijn artistieke basis enorm en leidde tot zijn deelname aan groepstentoonstellingen in de Galerie de l'Olympe in Lyon.
In 2009 stapte Giroud over naar een professionele artistieke carrière en verliet de regio Lyon om zijn studio in Haute Provence te vestigen. De natuur is zijn voornaamste inspiratiebron, of hij nu uitgestrekte landschappen of intieme stillevens vastlegt. Zijn artistieke benadering benadrukt de spirituele essentie van het huidige moment, een kwaliteit die hij in elk stuk wil overbrengen. Giroud creëert zijn werken met behulp van de "alla prima"-techniek, waarbij hij elk schilderij in één sessie voltooit om de directheid en authenticiteit ervan te behouden.
