Dominique Leblanc, geboren in 1959, woont en werkt in Frankrijk. Hij studeerde af aan een kunstacademie in Straatsburg en studeerde ook filosofie, wat zijn artistieke perspectief verrijkte. Als gepassioneerde leraar op een middelbare school volgt hij discreet een veeleisende en ononderbroken artistieke praktijk.
Zijn werken, voornamelijk inkt- en grafiettekeningen op papier, richten zich op lichamen en landschappen. Dominique geeft de voorkeur aan bescheiden formaten, zelden groter dan A4, en hanteert een seriële aanpak in zijn creaties: bruggen, oceanen, golven, portretten, enz.
Hij werkt graag buiten en legt de essentie van de natuur en de omliggende landschappen vast. Hij vindt zijn inspiratie echter vaak en maakt de meeste van zijn werken in besloten ruimtes, waar hij zich volledig kan concentreren op de details en precisie van zijn tekeningen.
